Dear Parents,
We would appreciate your input. As you have probably heard PrairieWave is now Knology of the Black Hills. We have been contacted by them to deliver phone books once again. However, there are some major changes over the way PrairieWave had us do it. Last year we earned $902.30 from PrairieWave
PrairieWave Knology of the BH
~several week window of delivery ~strict time dead line (probably 1 week to 10 days)
~smaller map divisions ~average 450 drop sites per map division
~$0.35/book placed ~$0.10 to $0.30/stop and $0.05/book placed (I couldn't get the man to explain which stops received $0.10 and which warranted $0.30)
Please let us know if you think this is a fundraiser we should pursue.
Also, we need to get the kids working at Culvers again Each night they work they receive 7% of the evenings' till. The Haines Street Wendy's is also interested in having us work. They only need one youth per night and we receive 10% of the till. We are looking for someone who is willing to help organize and promote (calling KSLT with public service announcement) these fundraisers.
Dave Wells is looking into some other peel-n-stick type fundraisers. We'll keep you posted as the info becomes available.
One other important item. Youth fundraisers will go directly into student accounts for the Indonesia mission trip in 2009. Parents who help with the fundraiser are not earning for themselves. These funds will not be used for Camp Kinship (youth camp) this summer.
